Hello everyone,

I hope you're doing well. I am facing an issue regarding salary negotiations and would greatly appreciate some guidance from the experienced members of this forum.

Recently, I came across an informative blog post Software Engineer/Developer Salary. While reading the article, I realized that the salary range mentioned for software engineers is significantly higher than what I am currently earning. This has raised concerns and confusion for me.

I have been working as a software engineer for the past three years at a reputable company. However, after comparing my salary with the figures mentioned in the blog post, I feel that I am being underpaid. I have thoroughly researched the average salaries in my area, taken into account my experience, skills, and the value I bring to the company, yet my salary falls below the expected range.

To address this issue, I have tried discussing it with my manager. However, the response I received was not satisfactory, and I was informed that my salary is within the company's standard range. I have also reached out to some colleagues in similar roles in other organizations, and it seems that they are earning higher salaries than mine.

I am now seeking advice on how to approach this situation. I would like to know if there are any strategies I can employ to negotiate a higher salary or if there are any additional steps I should take to present a stronger case to my employer.

If it would be helpful, I am also open to receiving insights from experienced members who have successfully navigated similar situations or have expertise in salary negotiations. Additionally, if anyone could provide sample code or templates for documenting the value I bring to the company or any other relevant resources, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I look forward to your valuable input.
